PEMS - EMMS (Expertise Mapping and Matching System)
EMMS Capabilities
- Dynamic Profile Management
- Updated Expertise Profiles – Maintain detailed and up-to-date profiles of employees’ skills, learnings, and aspirations.
- Connect Staff with Opportunities – Match employees with work opportunities in a dynamic environment.
- Integration with HR Systems
- EMMS can Co-exist with Existing or Legacy HR Systems – Exchange common data with other systems through customized bridges.
- Focus on Expertise Mapping – Unlike traditional HR systems, EMMS emphasizes expertise mapping and matching with requirements.
- Enterprise-wide Implementation
- Generalized Across Demographics and Levels – Implement quickly across the enterprise without customization.
- High Visibility of Engagement Levels – Delivery managers can form new teams or manage manpower across projects with visibility into current engagement levels.
- Expertise Mapping and Matching
- Find Colleagues (Employees) with the Right Expertise – Easily locate employees with specific skills for problem-solving, learning, or team formation. Organisations may have an inside expert who can help avert a crisis or big losses but often they can’t find the right expert when required.
- Encourage Collaboration – Leverage the best talent within the organization to execute assignments or solve problems.
- Discover skill gaps for emerging needs and plan for timely skilling of employees.
Enhanced Workforce Management
• Optimize Resource Utilization – Identify overloaded employees and those with slack time to balance workloads.
• Support Diverse Project or Customer Requirements – Adapt to varying customer needs by efficiently managing and deploying talent.
Expertise Mapping and Matching System (EMMS) is an innovative solution developed by Systems Dynamics (SD) that a large organisation can deploy to target the abovementioned problem and address the opportunity to leverage its human capital. It is offered as a SaaS model or on a server license.
Leveraging human capital demands not only engaging the best available talent to do a specific job (long-term) but also to do an assignment (short-term) or solve an urgent problem (now). In large organizations, at any given time, it is not unusual to have hundreds of project or delivery managers with requirements and people facing specific questions which are “opportunities”. But the opportunity providers don’t connect with the best people simply because of lack of a system. EMMS can mitigate this problem in a very significant measure.
